Our Chasseneuil-du-Poitou site, expertise in the processing and preparation of Small Casings
The Chasseneuil-du-Poitou site occupies a strategic position within our industrial organization. It is mainly dedicated to the processing and preparation of small casings, in particular mutton and pork casings, as well as to the trading of certain large casings. Thanks to its recognized know-how and appropriate technical facilities, this site of over 5000 m² specializes in products requiring great precision and a high level of quality.
Our experience with casings dates back to the 1960s, when we worked alongside the Poitiers abattoir (which closed in the 1980s). Then in 1989, the current Chasseneuil site was created, enlarged by 1000 m² in 2005, followed by the construction of a new building dedicated to salting in 2007.
What sets Chasseneuil-du-Poitou apart is its ability to meet the strict standards of this market segment, while ensuring rigorous traceability of raw materials. Local teams, experienced and trained in the most advanced techniques, ensure a constant level of excellence, both in terms of quality and hygiene.
Beyond the national market, the site also plays a key role in our international development strategy. Indeed, a significant proportion of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou’s production is destined for export, testifying to the trust placed in us by our foreign partners and the competitiveness of our offering on world markets. This openness places even greater demands on the site in terms of regulatory compliance, process standardization and logistical flexibility.
Thanks to its high-performance equipment and the rigor of its teams, the Chasseneuil-du-Poitou site is an essential link in our value chain, combining historic know-how with contemporary standards.
